Aviation and Drones

The session will bring together aviation and drone ecosystem players to discuss key user requirements, and the latest trends like advanced air mobility or operations at higher altitudes.

We will cover the added value of EGNOS and Galileo differentiators, such as authentication and high accuracy, and the users’ needs to improve the services. The session will also explore EO use cases, and particularly Copernicus data, to support aviation, such as aircraft emission monitoring, or drone safety assessment. For the first time, the participants will discuss their needs in SATCOM services, and how the future GOVSATCOM and IRIS² can support their operations.

This session is divided into a morning and afternoon session.

Energy

Discussions will focus on how EO data, from various sources, can address key challenges throughout a project's lifecycle. A central theme will be leveraging EO data for optimal site selection, environmental assessments, and ongoing monitoring and optimization. The session will explore how EO data empowers informed decision-making at every stage, from pinpointing ideal locations for wind or solar farms to minimizing environmental impacts and maximizing plant performance.

This session aims to bridge the gap between EO providers and renewable energy stakeholders, fostering collaboration for a clean and sustainable energy future.

Emergency Management and Humanitarian Aid

This session brings together both governmental end-users and industry, to discuss how the EU Space Programme data and services, provided by Galileo, EGNOS, Copernicus, and IRIS2, can evolve to better address the challenges in the field.

The focus of the session is the ever-changing needs vis-à-vis the monitoring and response during the most frequent disasters in Europe: floods and wildfires. In the humanitarian aid domain, participants will explore ways to improve the use and uptake of EU Space data for supporting the monitoring and documentation of human rights violations.

This session is divided into a morning and afternoon session.

Maritime and Inland Waterways

The session will discuss new applications and related user requirements that could be fulfilled with the support of the EU Space data and services provided by Galileo, EGNOS, Copernicus and IRIS2.

Some topics discussed are related to ship route optimisation, autonomous vessels, and water level estimation.

Infrastructure and 5G

We will explore the challenges faced by the infrastructure community and the new challenges that have emerged in recent years.

The protection of infrastructure against various threats (e.g.: natural disasters, terrorist attacks, cyber threats) and the resilience of entities managing the infrastructure are crucial for modern societies. Any disruption of essential services can have cascading effects, potentially resulting in a far-reaching and long-term negative impact on the delivery of services across the internal market. Whatever the type of infrastructure (e.g., factories, power plants, water plants), GNSS and EO support the actors involved in infrastructure management in their effort to increase the safety of operations and productivity, while improving infrastructure resilience and safeguarding the environment.
